Here small information about AKLAN... Its a small province in the Philippines,known as the Home of the world famous Filipino festival Kalibo Ati-Atihan and the 4 kilometer pristine white sand beaches of Boracay Island. and other amazing and captivating places.....Tropical climate and cool breeze awaits you in this part of the world, a quiet little town for most of the year but a bustling little haven of revelry and merriment awakens as the feast of the Kalibo Ati-Atihan arrives in the month of January. Most come early to spend their days before and after the Ati-Atihan in the beaches of Boracay Island. Aklan is rich in green luscious surrounding, abundant in fauna and Fiona,people are warm and accommodating.so many undiscovered places like lakes,caves and other tourist attraction that u should have to explore.Aklan composed of 17 towns. each town has its uniqueness and a great haven sanctuary that need to be explore.

well we should start our journey in Kalibo, the capital town.Air travel to the town of Kalibo takes only 45 minutes from manila on daily schedule basis with four airlines companies flying:the Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Zest Air and PAL Express. These airlines increase their flights daily during the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival in January. Mandarin Airlines and Trans Asia Airways have weekly flights to and from Taipei, Taiwan and Philippine Airlines and Shanghai Airlines have chartered flights to and from Shanghai, China. and far as i know more airlines company will have flight schedule since the airport now can accommodate more international flights.Kalibo composed of 16 Barangay.

Kalibo has tourist boomtown character and is famous not only as a jump-off point to Boracay but as the home of the Philippines most popular, most colorful and wildest festival ATI-ATIHAN. The festival is celebrated during the third weekend of January of every year,Aside from Ati-atihan, other places of interest in Kalibo is the BAKHAWAN ECO PARK, dubbed as the Philippines most successful mangrove reforestation project,it is located in Barangay New buswang,town of Kalibo entrance fee be very minimal that u could surely afford from the time we been going there it only cost 10 peso per person but i wasn't sure if they do some changes lately.
In this place too u can find the Pina village where u can see how the Pina cloth made u can see how the villagers do all the task from washing,scraping, weaving until to its finish product,going to a pina village is a fun,learning experience.They had schedules for tourist and visitors who would like to pay a visit, if your interested either you are in a group or not just contact our local municipality for more details.

If your craving for a good food...lots of restaurant and fast food in the heart of Kalibo.local fast food that serves variety of food and there some restaurant that serve the best.well I am not advertising anything here since they doesn't pay me at all but theres a few that really suits my taste, that i highly recommends.first if your looking for grilled sandwiches and burgers well the best was BIGBOY'S..too bad i cant find the new location anymore i wasn't sure if the moved or or something just after the typhoon frank and the place was a total wreck i cant find new location anymore so lets jump to another place that serves best burger well nothing else like the KITTY'S KITCHEN they are located in rizal street,burger is one of there best seller. it isn't hard to find all u need is a trike where its the common mode of transportation tell the driver where u want to go and they will get u there.Its Dec already lots of restaurants improving there place to accommodate more tourist that might take a visit this January to celebrate Ati-Atihan festival.the best Ice cream that i have tasted ?well nothing more than having it in PEIL ice cream and crepe restaurant.they are located in F quimpo st. aside from ice cream they also serve sandwiches and crepes.a mouth watering 3 scoops of your favorite ice cream top with ur favorite toppings such as nuts, mallows and chocolate chunks and glazed of chocolate syrup.now they're serving gourmet ice cream though haven't tried those gourmet ice cream it sound interesting then maybe one this day i will. and the crepes from fruity crepes such as mango and berries they also have chicken crepe,tuna crepe,ham n cheese and a lot more to mention they also serve halo-halo. and i think now they're already serving pizza and rice topping( sizzling rice). if u want chicken lots of restaurant serves grilled chicken or friend one .well those two are my favorites .. sorry.chicken they're the RML be top the list the place always a block buster.if your tight in budget theres some small eatery located in wet market cheaper and food good as well.u can have dinuguan(blood stew),pork sinigang(pork in tamarind soup),pork and chicken barbecue. and a lot more.if your looking for bread first thing in mind be bread and butter they serve best one yet good in the pocket. what i like from them the most was the pan de leche(small bun).
Lots of commercial banks as well located major streets, there ATM machines too operates 24/7.Hospitals as well around 7 them along with the medical centers.Theres some resorts as well that caters outdoor activities and picnics for the family. theres the AGZAM resort located in linabuan norte.

Well frankly speaking I am haven't halfway this article theres so much to share its just the beginning....... and all this just in Kalibo alone there 16 towns needed to be explore. well i guess need to make part II or III . Ill try to gather more informations if there some u want to share then im welling to post it here.

for now I need to take a break and Ill continue our exploration ... next blog we will tackle more about interesting place, food, people in kalibo and maybe we can go to Banga afterwards then Numancia. and a lot more.
